Let Us Help You With Your Magnetic Needs

Transformers are essential in electronic projects, particularly in power supply systems like Switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). Customizing transformers is crucial for project success, as it allows for meeting the specific and varied demands of electronic systems. By tailoring transformers, engineers can ensure compatibility with application-specific needs, such as input/output voltage, power ratings, and physical constraints.

Precision customization enhances efficiency, minimizes energy losses, and increases the overall reliability of the electronic system. As a result, transformer customization becomes a vital factor in fine-tuning power supply parameters and optimizing performance, directly impacting the project's success.

We specialize in designing and manufacturing transformers, inductors, and coil components to meet your SMPS project requirements, adhering closely to your specifications and drawings. Common SMPS topologies for which we provide custom transformers include Off-Line converters (Flyback, Forward, Half-Bridge, etc.) and DC-DC converters.

High-frequency transformers, inductors, and various coils are custom-made and optimized according to customer specifications.

PQ Series Transformer: Maximum Power Density in a Minimum Volume

For engineers pushing the limits of power conversion, the PQ Series represents the pinnacle of magnetic design. The name “PQ” stands for Power Quality, and its unique rounded-center-pod design is engineered for one primary goal: to achieve the highest possible power density and efficiency in the smallest possible volume. By concentrating the magnetic field in the center and maximizing the core’s volume-to-surface-area ratio, the PQ core delivers unparalleled performance for the most space-constrained, high-power applications.

Key Features & Benefits

Unmatched Power Density: The PQ core’s unique shape provides the largest core cross-sectional area and window area for its overall volume. This allows it to handle more power in a smaller footprint than virtually any other core shape, making it ideal for applications where every cubic millimeter counts.

Superior Efficiency & Low Core Loss: The continuous, symmetrical magnetic path minimizes flux crowding and core losses, especially at high frequencies. When combined with high-grade ferrite materials, the PQ core achieves exceptional efficiency, reducing energy waste and thermal stress.

Excellent Self-Shielding: The rounded, continuous core structure naturally contains the magnetic field, resulting in very low electromagnetic interference (EMI). This inherent shielding simplifies your EMC compliance process and protects sensitive nearby circuitry.

Optimized Thermal Performance: The large surface area relative to its volume allows for highly effective heat dissipation. This enables the PQ transformer to operate at high power levels with a lower temperature rise, directly translating to enhanced reliability and longevity.

Consistent & Repeatable Performance: The symmetrical design and robust mechanical structure ensure stable electrical parameters and excellent performance consistency across all production batches, which is crucial for high-volume manufacturing.
